Eaton To Offer Solar Materials For 72 9Mw Redwood Solar Farm

Image: 8minutenergy Power management company Eaton has signed multiple contracts in order to provide solar inverters, electrical distribution equipment and services for the 72.9MW Redwood Solar Farm in Kern County, California. The installation, developed by sPower and 8minutenergy Renewables, is expected by produce 146kWh of sustainable energy per year in order to both power around 9,200 California homes and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to the equivalent of removing 21,000 cars off the road over that same stretch of time. The plant will also help local utilities meet the California Renewables Portfolio Standard of producing 33% of power by renewable means by 2020.
